Here is one of the NEW NOTION items Quilters Patch now carries.

sewline-glue-pen

The Sewline Fabric Glue Pen is an extremely clever little notion that will come in handy for all sorts of projects. Part glue stick, part pen, it tacks your fabric together and dries in minutes for those times when pins just won’t do–or if you just want a quick, simple way to hold together fabrics. The glue is safe on most fabrics and is also completely water soluble. Since the glue cartridges come in both the bright blue shown in the picture, pink and yellow, you’ll also be able to use a color that will be easily seen as you apply it.

Late in the day and it is rather warm today.  Think the Heat Index is over 100 and close to 105 degree’s or higher.  We’re thinking air condition turned down cold, and having ice cream with cake or pie and sewing all night.  How about you?

Just want to let you all know that when we attend Market’s, we do hang out with only the most important people.

And the winner was from yesterday’s pictures was:

harris

She had all the girls names printed on all the leaves of the flowers.  How cute.  A little hard to see on the picture above, but we felt it showed how much unity there was amongst this group.  Great job girls!

Oh my Gosh!!!!  Someone just  dropped the notice that there is only….are you ready?…..205 days left until Christmas!!  Yikes!  Where has the time gone?  Christmas Fabrics are arriving….gorgeous and so cute….New Books…now is the time to start.  We haven’t even  had our first dip in the pool yet (and what pool would that be?) and are the children out of school?  Not to worry, sewing is always the best past time during the summer time.  Just too hot in this Texas weather to go outside.

After Spring Market, we took a few days off and went to Karen’s hometown, Grove City, which is about 50 minutes from the big city.  What a wonderful place.  The tour included all the places and sights that she grew up with.  It would be a wonderful place to retire to….the weather was even cooler than expected.  Food was delicious as we stayed at Karen’s brother and sister-in-law’s new home.  While visiting there, Lynda’s Sewing Group, had a challenge given to them earlier this year.  Each were given three paint swatches (cards from the paint store).  The idea was to use these three colors and they could make anything they wanted and we would judge them while we were visiting.  May we say the pressure was on….how could we choose.  The items they made were outstanding!  Here are a few pictures of the things they made and who made them.  Can you guess who won?

Hope you can see all the pictures.  Did the best we could on making them see-able…..is that a real word?

There are so many new items coming into the store it is hard to keep up with them.  And, of course, we want to do them all, but work must come first….smile.  Just know that new samples are always in the works.  And yes, only to entice you….smile.

Happy Stitching!
