Gee, tomorrow is September 1st. For some of us, that’s the beginning of the season Fall. Here in South Texas, it is kind of hard to get our minds going there unless one turns the A/C down and doesn’t go outside to the heat index of 108 degree’s. Here is the Winner of the Janome Sewing Machine from our Hwy. 59 Road Trip! Sherry is presenting it to Amanda Ferguson.
Amanda is also one of our Saturday Sampler gals and drives from Yorktown on lst Saturday’s to be with us. She has been a participant for several years now. When she won a door prize at the beginning of this year, Sherry called out her name while looking at her and she didn’t respond. Finally, she replied and said, “My name is Amanda, not Pat”. Sherry replied…”After all these years you didn’t tell me you changed your name”…..haha….and everyone broke out in laughter. Amanda is a super nice lady and so well deserved her New Machine. Congratulations Amanda!!

Aaahhh, August….hot summer month. August can be hotter than the rest of the summer, but it also can remind us that Fall is not far off. We all had a great time at Karen’s b’day party yesterday at Quilters Patch, but someone forgot the camera….darn. Still, what delicious food….thanks girls.
We will be headed off in the a.m. for the New Branfels Show held every other year in the Civic Center..New Braufels, Texas. The show is Friday through Sunday, so if you plan on coming, be sure and enjoy this show of quality quilts on display and of course quality vendors!
Today we are featuring Anka’s Treasures New Line of Fabric, Sanibel. Henry Glass is the distributor on this line and believe there is a free pattern on their website. Meanwhile here is a sample picture of the fabrics and do they feel ever so nice!
